While at an annual scientific conference, I wrote a subjective account about humanizing the so-called dry work of scientists in tropical medicine. This was the first storytelling event that had ever taken place at the conference; thanks to my work in documenting and conveying its impact, I helped bridge the important data-driven work conducted by scientists with the real emotions and feelings behind them.
