My biggest fear has always been going “crazy.” Growing up in a multicultural context amid conflicting expectations and values, I noticed that there was more than one type of reality, and therefore, more than one type of normal.

I found solace in “crazy artists” like Salvador Dali and Tim Burton, whose universes transported me into alternate realities where rules could be flipped on their heads. Today, I want my art to transport spectators in the same way.

By exploring the multiplicity of reality, self, and surrealism, my art channels the lunacy prevalent in both my mind and in the socio political realms we all inhabit.
